The word in the world of Karl (Lagerfeld, of course)
In September, The World According to Karl is on the shelves, and outrageous opinions, poignant perspective and unique insights into the fascinating Karl Lagerfeld is made to create a place for us amateur style fascinated shine on to study and analyze. Are these 160 pages is our view of the real person behind the brand Chanel, the God of fashion gloves hidden behind dark shades of designers and often complete a large number of models in the range?
Not exactly.
"People tell me all appall," booms a quote in large font on the page devoted to reflections on the life of Lagerfeld. I think we will always be next to parts of its reality if c 'is.
There's more where that came from opinions, well frank, honest, ridiculous, but clever, you will enjoy serving. Like, "Fashion is superficial., You must accept that it is so when you decide it choose as a profession," and "The mink is a very dangerous animal, people hate." This book is divided into different areas of the world where Lagerfeld's own words paint what he thinks everyone There are obvious sections divided. Karl on style, fashion and Chanel, and interestingly, her decision to move in relation to be controversial, and the memories of his mother, Elizabeth.
The problem? "I always say what I think, and sometimes I do not," Lagerfeld said. Contradictory positions? This can be confusing. It may be useful to take a plethora of quotes with a grain of salt, it, use it as a guide to see clearer and the brilliant artistic spirit that made it Chanel today hold, rather than against the man who spoke is .
